- To protect your infant we want to make sure your baby is immunized against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) now if not already administered to your baby, or received in Mom’s pregnancy (seasonal availability during November through March). This vaccine protects against wheezing bronchiolitis caused by RSV.
Those infected with RSV can have difficulty breathing, eating, may become dehydrated which can be deadly. RSV immunization helps protect infants and young children from severe RSV disease. Infants younger than 8 months old during RSV season should get a one-dose RSV immunization to protect them against RSV.
For further information the link here gives you access to the Vaccine Information Statement for RSV.
